British Values Week

At Bracebridge Infant and Nursery School we believe in celebrating British Values which are:

Democracy    Rule of law     Individual liberty   Mutual respect    Tolerance of other faiths and beliefs

We recognise that our school is a multi-language, multi-cultural and multi-faith community. It is important that the children in our school understand the importance of tolerance, understanding and respect for each and every one within our school and wider community. The curriculum encourages the children to explore and share their values and beliefs as well as learn about others.

With this in mind, next week 10^th June -14^th June 2019 we will be carrying out a range of activities in order to help us learn about British values, the royal family, the national anthem, traditions and customs as well as other aspects linked to British Values such as voting for our new school councillors for next academic year linked to democracy.

We have a tailor made menu for next week linked to British Values and on Wednesday we will be hosting a British afternoon tea style lunch (see menu on the reverse) for all staff and children, including our full time nursery children.  We would like to invite children to dress in red, white and blue clothes for the day (Wednesday only).

Bracebridge Infant and Nursery School is committed to preparing students for their adult life beyond primary school so that our children can fully integrate into the world in which they live.
