Teaching Assistant

Salary: Grade G3 6- 09 - £18, 812 -19,948 pro year pro rota

Contract: Temporary Term Time only to start 1st November 2021, with a potential for permanent position pending the needs of the school

Appointment :32.5 hours (however this can be negotiated)

 

The Headteacher and Trustees are looking to appoint a highly motivated, flexible, experienced and inspirational teaching assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be in an EYFS classroom, taking responsibility for small groups including the delivery of Read, Write Inc and will also be covering PPA in the Reception class one afternoon every week.

 

We are a small, happy friendly, family orientated school. We have wonderful children, supportive parents and a dedicated team of staff and trustees. Our children love their school and we work together to provide opportunities for every child to meet our motto in ‘Being the best we can be.’

 

We provide our children with the opportunities, experiences and support they need in order to overcome some significant challenges. We are set in an area of deprivation with a high proportion of children with English as an Additional language, however our aspirations and expectations are high.

The successful candidate should have:

 

  • GCSE A*-C or equivalent in Maths and English
  • NVQ level 3
  • a proven track record when making an effective contribution towards raising achievement
  • enthusiasm, self-motivation and be able to work on their own initiative whilst maintaining a calm, supportive and caring manner
  • good written English
  • very high expectations of themselves and the children in their care
  • a confidence to be able to liaise and communicate with parents / carers, class teachers, SENCO and any  other appropriate outside agencies
  • individual skills with the ability to implement learning intervention programmes and lead guided groups
  • Experience of the EYFS classroom and framework
  • Knowledge and experience of the Read, Write Inc phonics programme

 

The post is temporary to 31st August 2022 pending a review of the needs of the school.

Classteacher (Year 1/2)

Salary MPS 2-4 (£11040 - £12711)

Contract: Temporary- Maternity Cover

Appointment: Part time (0.4 FTE)

 

We are looking to appoint an experienced, motivated and inspirational teacher and subject leader to join our team and work with our wonderful children for two days a week (Thursday and Friday) to cover a teacher on Maternity leave from November 2021.  The post would suit someone looking for a part time role to work with another teacher to teach a class of KS1 children. Some subject leadership would be required.
