Clerk to Trustees

Salary:  GLEA G4 point 9-12 (FTE £21,968-£23,194) pro rata £1425-£1504

Start Date:  1st March 2022

52 weeks per year, 2.4 hours per week.

 

We are a small, friendly, family orientated school with high expectations of all staff and children. We have wonderful children, supportive parents and a dedicated team of staff and Trustees.

 

The clerk is accountable to the governing board, working effectively with the chair of trustees, the headteacher and other trustees. The clerk to the trustees will ensure the smooth running of the governing board: preparing agendas and meeting papers, taking and distributing minutes, providing administrative support and providing procedural and legislative advice to the governing board. Training can be provided, but ideally some experience of working in a school or as a Clerk would be an advantage, but not essential.

 

The successful applicant will be required to attend all Full Governing Body and Finance and Resources meetings which usually last for approximately two hours. There are currently 6 FGB Meetings and 1 AGM per annum which are usually held on Wednesday evening during term time.

Teaching Assistant / 1:1

15 hours per week, 39 weeks a year

Salary:  GLEA G3 point 6-9 (FTE £20,812-£21,968) pro rata £7,345-£7,753

Start Date:  ASAP

 

The Headteacher and Trustees are looking to appoint a highly motivated teaching assistant to join our team. We are a small, friendly, family orientated school with high expectations of all staff and children. We have wonderful children, supportive parents and a dedicated team of staff and Trustees. Our children love their school, and we work together to provide opportunities for every child.

 

The post holder will initially support in a year 1/2 classroom every afternoon. They must be able to use their initiative, work as part of a team an have a good sense of humour. Candidates will be directed by the class teacher to support pupils learning. They should have an NVQ Level 2 qualification or equivalent and have experience of working with children. Knowledge of EYFS and Read Write Inc would be an advantage. 

 

The post is temporary for 18 months but may lead to a permanent position depending on the needs of the school.
