Welcome to Bracebridge Infant and Nursery School with academy status.
Here at Bracebridge Infant and Nursery School we continually strive to offer our children a high standard of education and a very special environment in which to work and play. We aim to nurture and care for each individual to enable them to grow, flourish and reach their full potential. As a small school we pride ourselves on being able to offer a more ‘personal service’.
Our learning environment is welcoming and stimulating and supports the emphasis we place on encouraging children to become independent learners who can ask questions and develop the skills to solve problems for themselves. Children are given many opportunities to be creative and develop their creative thinking.
We aim to provide a broad and balanced curriculum which supports the development of a wide range of skills and knowledge, with reading, writing and mathematics at the heart of everything we do. We also place great importance on developing personal, social and emotional well-being with children being encouraged to be kind and caring towards one another.
The relationship between school and home is very important to us and we enjoy working with parents and carers for the benefit of all children.
We aim to do all we can to ensure our pupils feel safe, happy and valued!
Our school motto
‘’Being the best that we can be!’’
reflects our determination to bring out the best in everyone.
A Message from our Headteacher
My name is Mrs Marie Denham and I’m very proud to be the Headteacher at Bracebridge Infant and Nursery School. During my time as a teacher I have taught at many schools in and around Lincoln but I’ve been at Bracebridge Infants for almost nine years now and I can honestly say that I’ve enjoyed every minute!
I work very closely with governors, staff and parents to deliver a high standard of care and education to all our children. We are all fully committed to doing our very best for the children here so that they can enjoy their education and make good progress in all aspects of school life.
I feel very privileged to work with the children who attend our school as they are all very special in one way or another. In our school every child really does matter and I take a lot of interest in the children as individuals and enjoy getting to know them more and more as they move through the school.
During the past six years we have participated in three Ofsted inspections and have been identified as being a ‘Good’ school with some outstanding features – something which we are very proud of and which is the result of everyone’s continued enthusiasm and hard work. We continually strive to improve our school even further and warmly welcome new children to join our special and very successful school.
