Headteacher's Welcome

Welcome from new Headteacher

It is my absolute pleasure that I write to introduce myself as the new Headteacher of Bracebridge Infant and Nursery School. All of the staff, children and parents have made me feel extremely welcome. I feel truly privileged to be joining such a wonderful school community.

As a parent myself, I appreciate how important it is to know that your child is safe, happy and stimulated whilst at school. It is my aim to continue to ensure that this happens at Bracebridge, so that all children can be free to learn and be themselves, developing their unique personalities that make each and every one of them so very special. As Headteacher I will assure that all children have a vast range of exciting opportunities to learn and develop to their full potential.

Having taught for 14 years in various primary schools throughout Lincolnshire, I am well aware of the numerous benefits small schools can have; the small class sizes, friendly family atmosphere and welcoming staff. However, I am also aware of some of the challenges they face, such as smaller budgets and sustainability. Please rest assured that I come with a wealth of knowledge, enthusiasm and ideas and am ready to work alongside staff, parents, governors, children and indeed the whole community to ensure we overcome such barriers and continue to allow our children to flourish.

Parental engagement and partnership is key to any successful school in order to ensure it is a positive and rewarding experience. I look forward to working with our parents and raising the profile of our Friends of Bracebridge Infants (FBI) in the future.

I am looking forward to meeting you all! ‘Meet the New Head’ coffee mornings are currently in the pipeline - further details will be released shortly.

In the meantime, I look forward to working with everyone here at Bracebridge Infant and Nursery School and will ensure all our children have the opportunities at ‘Being the best we can be!’

Mrs Lucy Wilson

Headteacher
